I Did Not Want to Go to University

I really did not know what I wanted to do with my life after finishing my basic education as a teen. I knew that I did not want to go to university for four years, but I also knew that I did not want to be stuck in a dead end job for the rest of my life either. I did realize that education was key, but I had to figure out just how I wanted to get more education without getting bored with it. When I looked into a music school in Singapore, it was as if all the puzzle pieces had finally clicked together the right way.

I have always enjoyed music. I don’t know anyone my age who doesn’t. I never considered a career in it because I was just thinking about what I see on the front lines. I have been to a lot of concerts, but I only gave consideration to what was in front of my eyes there. I never thought about all the other people who make music a possibility. I looked at the different course offerings at the music school, and I knew that I had finally found what I wanted to do.

The nice thing about this was that it did not take me four years to learn what I needed to do something that can be a promising career for the rest of my life. I was able to learn a valuable skill set by knowledgeable educators, and it was quite easy for me to get my dream job when I was done with the program. It amazes me that I was able to complete a music program that was interesting, and I landed a good job within a few weeks of my completion of it. It was the perfect answer for me.
